RADYOLOGY

Our Radiology Department consists of two main departments. These are Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology.

Diagnostic radiology; is the use of x-rays and other imaging methods for diagnostic purposes in medicine. Some of these methods are; can be listed as direct radiography, ultrasonography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, fluoroscopy. diagnostic radiology; It consists of subgroups such as Abdominal Radiology, Thoracic Radiology, Breast Radiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Neuroradiology, Cardiovascular Radiology and Pediatric Radiology.

Interventional Radiology, on the other hand, directs the treatment by using much less invasive methods than surgery. Interventional radiological procedures, which provide the patient with less risk, pain and faster recovery without creating major surgical incisions, are divided into two large groups as vascular (related to the vessel) and nonvascular (related to non-vascular organs).

In our department, There are three multi-section CT (16, 64 and 160 sections) , two 1.5 T MRI and seven color Doppler ultrasonography devices. All our images are digital and used with digital image storage-PACS system. With the digital images distributed to the entire hospital, it is possible to diagnose and treat patients quickly and accurately. Our department also hosts weekly meetings where patients are evaluated as multidisciplinary.
